Sometimes all you can do is stand back and let het guy grow up. He obviously has some lessons to learn. I think everyone on here has given really good advice, so I don't have too much to say. But I do wonder fi at 16 you can have found the one. God is surprising though, I can't judge off my own situaltions, I jsut know that at 18 I liked a guy so much, if fact I really loved him, it has been 8 or 9 months now and I still hurt at times. I tried dating someone else, and said I loved him and I didn't. He loved me with all his heart though. And by the way, that no dating rule until you're 18 is good, in my family you have to be 20.
It sounds like you have been very open and honest with this Jake dude. If she doesn't realize how much he is hurting you (and himself) I htink you need to back off, or like David said, dump him. Cut all ties. Watch your emotions, it will be the hardest thing you ever did. But you need to leave it to God. I remind myslef daily, if God really wants me with the man I love, HE will make it happen through anything. So I wait on God to bring me who He wants.
