So i just wanted to tell all the guys out there, THANKS. You totally don't get enough credit for how incredible you are  People always say how much power girls have over guys, but honestly, guys have insane power over us too!
You guys go through so much just for us! No wonder girls think about guys as princes sooooooo. thanks.

Haha, thanks i trust,
I'm really getting tierd of the whole "boys are just stuiped" attittude I keep picking up from girls, I was actually so relieved when I read this I had to reply somehow!!!

Koudee, I personally want to apologize about all those "stupid guys" comments. I have never said them myself, but every time i hear someone else saying it, i tend to wince. You guys aren't at fault. yeah I also apoligise for the comments some girls make about guy's being brainless... cuz I know not all of them are.
But it goes the same for girls... I'm a girl who knows more about cars than quite alot of girls... like I can change tires, batteries all by myself etc... and I know what an alternator is... 
But one guy friend made a generalized comment saying that girls don't know a thing about cars... and I was really offended (P.S. He doesn't know that I know he made the comment.) and yeah... we haven't talked since then... but yeah, so guys, please bare in mind, girls get annoyed with that kinda stuff too  |

-later Seriosuly. I hate how my younger sister seems to think she's my older sister.
And that whole thing they like to bring up about 'girls maturing faster than guys'. By now, EVERYONE ought to know they meant physically, and even that is QUITE variable. It gets me so steamed sometimes.

| Any generalizations can be pretty hurtful, so definitely be encouraged guys - there are girls out there who know how special you are. And on that note, don't place your value in anything other people say - Christ gave you all the value you will ever need when He made you his SON!! I'm glad you're all part of the family |

| I have to say that I agree wholeheartedly with Cayla Renae. I love knowing that i have brothers in Christ because I don't have one of my own and I really wish i did have a biological older brother as great as you guys. |

| Yes, I definitely agree. Guys are put down so often because they are more physically driven than girls are. Every day is a struggle for you guys, and it really means a lot to me and to tons of other girls that you would fight temptations and desires for us. Trust me, it's worth it. |

I am compelled to ask... If guys are more physically driven (which while on the surface might appear true, it is much deeper than that), then girls are certainly more romantically driven. As you are rightfully appreciative of guys who make a priority of not giving into temptation, I must wonder if you make the same priority in not giving into to romantic temptation. The last time that romantic movie tempted you to go and indulge your romantic drive, did you or did you abstain? The last time a guy gave you the attention you naturally crave, did you resist?
I honestly don't mean to belittle and I genuinely appreciate your appreciation. It's just a bit strange to me when guys are constantly told not to engage our capacity for visual stimulation, but women are never told not to engage their capacity for romantic stimulation. Now, you might think they are different, but the genders are different. As such, equivalents between genders won't be the same thing. What means X to men will look different than what means X to women, but X is the same. As such, the male emphasis on visual stimulation is the equivalent of the female emphasis on romantic stimulation. I could give examples but I fear they would border on being too graphic.

I think before in a previous topic, I and others have stated that porn is a guy problem (mostly...) but romance novels are "girl porn..." like guys can have unrealistic expectations on their gf/wife to look like those pictures, whereas girls can have unrealistic expectations on guys being as perfect as the ones in the story's (hence why i hardly watch chick flicks...) it's not fair on either party... |

| I agree, David, and I think it's something that needs to be addressed more in churches and Bible Studies, that "Christian Romance" and romantic comedies and planning your weddings may not be the best things, because, as it's been said, they are "girl porn." |

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that while I'm glad that guys are fighting temptations, us girls are just left to do whatever we want. I fight "romantic temptation" every day, naturally. So when I say I'm appreciative of Christian guys doing their thing, I say it because I'm fighting my own battles against temptations. The reason I'm thankful for Christian guys who are trying to do the right thing is because I'm also trying every day to do the right thing....if that makes sense.
Again, I'm really sorry if what I said came accross in the wrong way....I'm not trying to take anything away from girls' responsibilities. |

yeah like Candie has just stated, we do fight ourown battles too...
and most of the time it seems like were fighting them, and winning, but the guy's can't be stuffed doing the same... so when you see a guy actually trying really hard to not be tempted, it's like "WOW, now there's a real Godly man!!" and my respect for him goes WAY up... |

oh and while we're on the subject... (not trying to start an argument about twilight...)
but I've heard countless girls saying "I want to find my edward..." and I think it's so sad, cuz no guy could ever live up to what he is (and I don't know if any guy would want to... but i haven't read the books, basically cuz I don't wanna put that stuff in my mind...) but is really sad, and I actually feel so sorry for the guy's that they're expecting to be like edward... |
