Well, the travel season is beginning again, and it started off with a bang at Mountain Christian Church, a mega church about 45 minutes away from Baltimore.  Very pretty area, and some terrific people.  Plus, it was a delight for me to be able to start off with my favorite format – the Sunday morning pastoral interview, in front of two services totaling 4,000 people.

clear booth at atlanta airportWell, I was delighted to get to the airport for my first trip of the travel season and discover that Atlanta is a CLEAR location – I can get a background check and bypass most of the security lines now!  (that is assuming that my fingerprints and retina scan don’t turn up anything I’m not expecting!  Any frequent traveler will understand the depth of my excitement when I saw that CLEAR booth at the Atlanta airport today.

Today was a treat.  A whirlwind, but a treat.  I flew to Dallas, met with some delightful leaders from Gateway Church about possibly doing a business-women’s event for them next year, then met with the folks at Decision Analyst who have conducted all the surveys for my books, then ran back to the hotel, hastily changed clothes, and headed off to the Life Today studio for a show with James and Betty Robison.  Each one of those things would have been a highlight of my trip, but all three at once were a gift!
